Our items are actual SR-71 parts that were used on many critical top secret missions of vital importance and national priority.

The rough finish you see on many of these items is left intentionally so as an owner of these items you can be proud to know that your Titanium collectible bare the scars of those missions, and is evidence of the sacrifices our men gave in risking their lives defending our country.

"Titanium Rings"

These rings are hand made.

Most rings on the market today are made from a softer cheaper grade of titanium on automated machine tools.

They wouldn't risk damaging thier tools cutting this Beta Alloy, even if they could get it.

This ring is made from 4 pieces, 2 of 972 and 2 of  #958.

BLACKBIRD
THE WORLDS FASTEST JET
B120VCA TITANIUM

Now available, a piece of SR-71 Blackbird Titanium from the aircraft number 17972. This is a multi record breaking aircraft.
The part that this piece came from was the Blackbirds giant Nacelle Spar. Part number AP694-1X437 C ASSEM RH.
3 pieces of 0.023" formed sheet spot welded together.
It contains 9 each Titanium 10-32 UNF, Solid Locking Nut Plates. The nut plates have the ID numbers 24 / EH stamped on them. Each nut plate is riveted using two Hand Bucked solid titanium countersunk rivets.
This item is cleaned and polished.
It's curved to the radius of the Blackbirds Nacelle, 12 inches long x 2-1/4 inches wide, tapering to1-1/2 inches.

It was cracked during a structural failure, most likely caused by an "UNSTART".
Unstarts were cause by misalignment of the super sonic shock wave within the inlet.
An unstart on the SR-71 Blackbird is described as 6 six sticks of dynamite going off inside the inlet. These Blackbird aircrew members had to have nerves of "Titanium"!
This may be the only physical evidence in the history of the Blackbird program of the powerful magnitude of a Blackbird unstart.

Hold in your hand, a very rare piece of this super strong SR-71 Blackbird Titanium, built to withstand the super dynamic forces of MACH 3 flight at the edge of space.
Also included is an 8" x 11" color pictorial showing the whole nacelle spar including the part numbers.
There are only 1 of these left in my inventory.

A awsome peice of an International Art / Science Award Winning Masterpiece for only $699.

Notice the off center hole pattern. This shows how every piece of the SR-71 was hand made. Fixed airframe parts of Blackbirds are not generally interchangeable. The use of solid nuts plates are required for high strength applications.
Their alignment is much more critical and difficult to achieve than floating two piece nut plates.
Due to the thermal expansion properties these titanium parts must be made to fit each application.
Any misalignment could result in broken parts and fasteners when the aircraft reach maximum operating temperature.
It was a great force that cracked this part; B120VCA Titanium will NOT just crack.

#972 Titanium Nacelle Spar piece is mounted to the plaque showing the fabrication assembly of its heat formed subcomponents and riveted locking nut plate fasteners. Detailed computer controlled Co2 LASER etched line drawings and organizational emblems are burnt into the plaque which gives the emblems a 3 dimensional effect.

The furniture quality 3/4 inch thick oak plaque features solid mixed angle cut hardwood in a butcher block pattern using dove tail joints. The rear of the plaque has a table top prop rod made of polished silver alloy.

"One hundred thousand cubic feet of air per second, at MACH 3"
This piece has "been there / done that"

Among the first Aircrews deployed to Det 1, Colonel’s James Watkins and Dave Dempster flew SR-71A, #61-7974, ICHI BAN, on her first operational sortie. 974’s Crew Chief was Tsgt Bud Martin.

19 April 1968

After the completing the first of two target assignments the aircraft experience double engine flameouts directly above Northern Laos, as the aircraft was falling straight towards the Laotian jungle (enemy territory) at an incredible rate of speed, Colonel Watkins heroically restarted both engines at 30,000 feet. After regaining control of the aircraft they accelerated back to MACH 3 and completed the second target assignment before returning to base.

That’s what I call-

“UNCOMMON VALOR”

Now consider that while traveling at MACH 3, 30,000 feet is like 10 seconds, and ejecting from that speed would subject the men to G- forces fierce enough to break bones , pop out eye balls, damage brain tissue and other major organs including an extremely painful death.

After cleaning off the soot I found another tail number.

This is a very rare find, one of Kelly Johnson's inspection stamps, It says SPOT WELD OK.
Spot welds were of prime concern and critical for these parts.
