Please understand that I am NOT a jeweler.
You are buying a little piece of history representing the greatest achievement in aeronautics.
The process used in creating a ring takes 2 to 3 days of meticulous detailed work. They are hand cut, hand formed, hand ground, hand shaped, hand polished, and hand colored. This hand work is accomplished at temperatures up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The rings are not mass produced on automated machine tools. They are completely hand made. They are NOT perfect and NOT intended to be perfect and NOT intended to meet any jewelry quality standard in size, color, or shape. These variations prove that the rings are hand made.
This material is EXTREMELY RARE and LIMITED. Only 80 ounces of this titanium now remains and only small fraction of that can be made into rings.
This SR-71 Titanium originated from an actual part of the SR-71's Ejector Nozzle.
The Ejector Nozzle along with the Air Inlet system are responsible for the majority of the power and thrust that pushed the Blackbirds faster than any other air breathing manned jet aircraft, flying TOP SECRET aerial reconnaissance missions to MACH 3+ at the edge of space.
The SR-71's still retain their records for top speed high altitude flight. These materials were developed during the Cold War under the Top Secret "OXCART" Program by the Lockheed Skunk Works. The code name for the material was "UNOBTAINIUM".
The word "UNOBTAINIUM" means that by all practical purposes it is impossible to obtain.
The finish that appears on your item may contain the original manufacture tooling marks, stress or chaffing caused by the extreme temperatures and pressures in the SR-71's exhaust system.
The titanium material on the aircraft was used to it's physical limits, there are anomalies in the metal itself.
All of the spare parts and materials from these aircraft have been destroyed and no longer exist. This is all that remains of them except the aircraft themselves that are on display in museums. The material itself is considered a priceless artifact of aviation history.
SIZES AND TOLERANCES
By ordering rings you the buyer have determined the size and specifics dimensions. You must provide either a sample ring or an exact dimension in inches to 3 decimal places (0.000). That is the United States customary systems of measurement. There are several systems for denoting the sizes of rings in use around the world.
I just need a dimension.
Since these rings are hand made, the measurements and details are only accurate to a tolerance of not more than plus or minus 0.005" for the smallest measurement on the inside diameter of the ring.
Ring SIZE (smallest part of the inside diameter) tolerances are plus or minus 0.005".
Ring WIDTH tolerances are plus or minus 0.030".
Ring THICKNESS tolerances are plus or minus 0.030".
The actual size is provided in inches and millimeters on the Pay Pal Invoice.
RE-SIZING A COMPLETED RING IS NOT POSSIBLE.
The items are custom made. I have no "pre-made stock". There are no exchanges. There are no refunds.
FULL REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED FOR ORDERS ONLY IF-
THE SIZE OF THE RINGS EXCEED THE DIMENSION AND TOLERANCE LISTED ON THE INVOICE.
CUSTOMERS MUST DETERMINE THAT THE STYLE, SIZES, WIDTH, THICKNESS, FINISH, & COLOR THAT THEY REQUEST AND THAT THEY ARE ACCURATE ON THE INVOICE WHEN MAKING THE PURCHASE.
I will only consider refunds or remakes only if the requested size is different than the dimensions stated on the invoice contract by more than the tolerances as stated above.
Due to limited supplies I may not be able to perform the requested service at any time.
